How do I decrease my GO2bank Secured Credit Card credit limit?
To decrease your credit limit, log in to your GO2bank account. Note, you cannot decrease your credit limit below $100 or below your current secured credit card balance.
In the GO2bank app:
- Tap the “Credit” tab on the home screen.
- Tap “More account details”.
- Tap the 3 dots (“…”) at the top right corner of the screen. A menu with more options will appear.
- Tap “Adjust credit limit”.
- On the next screen, tap “Decrease my credit limit”.
- Next, you’ll see screens allowing you to transfer money from your security deposit to your GO2bank checking available balance.
On GO2bank.com:
- Log in to your account.
- Select the “>” on the top right corner of the secured credit card section.
- Select the 3 dots (“…”) at the top right corner of the screen. A menu with more options will appear.
- Select “Adjust credit limit”.
- On the next screen, select “Decrease my credit limit”.
- Next, you’ll see screens allowing you to transfer money from your security deposit to your GO2bank checking available balance.
IMPORTANT: Transfers to your GO2bank checking available balance are immediate. We report your credit line decrease activity to the 3 credit bureaus and this may impact your credit score. You can only decrease your credit limit once in 30 days.
