How can I make my GO2bank Secured Credit Card initial security deposit?

Make your security deposit when you activate your secured credit card by transferring funds from your GO2bank checking available balance. You have 90 days from the day you activate your secured credit card to make a security deposit. To make your security deposit, log in to your GO2bank account.

In the GO2bank app:

  1. Tap the “Credit” tab on the home screen. You will see a message to set your credit limit. Tap “Set your credit limit”.
  2. Enter the amount you want to transfer to your security deposit. Minimum $100 security deposit required.
  3. Tap “Make my security deposit”. You will see a screen with the details of your transfer.
  4. Slide the slider button that says “Slide to confirm transfer” to complete your security deposit transfer which sets your credit limit.

On GO2bank.com:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Select “Set your credit limit” on the secured credit card section.
  3. Enter the amount you want to transfer to your security deposit. Minimum $100 security deposit required.
  4. Select the slider and a pop-up message will appear asking if you want to lock your card. Select “Lock it up”.
  5. Select “Make my security deposit”. You will see a screen with the details of your transfer.
  6. Slide the slider button that says “Slide to confirm transfer” to complete your security deposit transfer which sets your credit limit.

Transfers to your security deposit are immediate. You can start using your secured credit card to make purchases at that point. Refer to your Cardholder Agreement & Security Agreement for more details about your security deposit.
